“दुहिता” दस कथाओं व पाँच काव्यों का संकलन है जिनमें जीवन की कठिनाइयों को साहस व संवेदना से पार करने की प्रेरणा दी गई है। ये कहानियाँ भारत के कई कोनों से आती हैं। इस संकलन की रचनाओं में आशा, स्नेह और संघर्षों के पार खड़ी विजय है; वे रिश्ते हैं जिनसे शायद हम दूर हो चुके हैं; परिवार व समाज में अपनी पैठ बना चुके उन विचारों से लड़ाई है जो नई पीढ़ी को आगे बढ़ाने से रोकती है। मणिपुर में बसे नगलोई की पहाड़ियों से लेकर बिहार में गंगा के किनारे बसे भागलपुर तक और हिमाचल में डलहॉजी की बर्फ से लेकर ग्वालियर की पुरानी हवेलियों तक विचरण करती ये कहानियाँ, पाठक को रिश्तों में छिपे प्रेम से अवगत करवाती हैं। कुछ कहानियों में हृदय को छू जाने वाले प्रश्न हैं तो कुछ में नियति व भाग्य से लड़ सकने के उत्तर ।
When we look back in time to search for our first ancestors, we come across various written records that say that we are the descendants of the apes who slowly evolved over millions of years to become what we are now. Some researchers proposed and we believed. them without even asking any proof! Why? May be because all these connections are too simple; very easy to be imbibed and acceptable to satisfy our imbecility. Isn’t there any possibility of regressive evolution?

When I started reading this novel I thought of reading just 2-3 chapters , but it hooked me so beautifully that I read 5 chapters in a go . And the best part are those beautiful poems in between that encourage you , to do something in your life !! Will definitely recommend this to everyone . The elegance in which stories have been narrated is just commendable !!

“मत हार अपनी हार से”
जो पग धरे मजधार में,
वे हार को भी मान दें I
तट पर पड़े पाषाण को,
क्या भान होगा यह कभी II
हर हार की चित्कार में,
नव विजय की हुँकार है I
जो सुन सको और साध लो,
तो मार्ग मुश्किल भी नहीं II
इस हार से उस जीत तक,
हर दिन कठिन तप सा तपा I
पर हार को साथी बनाकर,
बढ़ चला जो कारवाँ,
उसके लिए कुछ दूर हीं,
थी जीत की एक श्रृंखला II
रोना नहीं रुककर यहीं,
ना रोष हीं व्यवधान पर I
मदमस्त सा बढ़ता तू चल,
इस हार से श्रृंगार कर II
